Yemeni mom gives birth to triplets in Sanaa

SANAA, May 15 (YPA) – A medical team at 22 May Teaching Hospital in Dhola’a Hamdan district of Sanaa province, succeeded in conducting a successful Caesarean section for a 20-year-old woman who gave birth to three twins ” triplets” last Tuesday, according to Almajalah Alttebiah.

” The three babies are “female” in their ninth month, and each baby weighs about one kilogram,” said the consultant obstetrician and head of the medical team that performed the operation, Dr. Sana al-Qubati, in a statement.

Al-Qubati explained that the birth took the normal time, and that the mother and children were in good health.

She pointed out that the birth of the woman is her first, and that the three twins were admitted to the nursery for care, observation and respiratory treatment, to prevent the entry of newborns into complications of asphyxiation and lack of oxygen after birth.
