HR ministry condemns coalition arrest of 2 activists
SANAA, June 19 (YPA) – Human Rights Ministry on Tuesday strongly condemned the arrest of two human rights activists by the coalition occupation forces in Sayoun airport, in a statement obtained by Saba.
Radhiyah al-Mutawakil and her husband Rashid al-Faqih, both run an NGO human rights organization, were arrested in Sayoun airport on Monday.
“Such act violate international human rights laws,” said the ministry, calling for immediate release of the activists.
Southern cities, including Sayoun which is part of southeastern Hadramout province, have been under control of coalition occupation forces, leads by United Arab Emirates, since late 2016.
