ANBAR, April 19 (YPA) – The Iraqi People’s Mobilization Forces (PMF) has thwarted an attack launched by the terrorist group ISIS that killed two of its members in western Anbar.
“The 17th Brigade forces were able to repel an attack by the SIS terrorist gangs’ on the Akashat operations sector,” Anbar operations commander Qassim Musleh said in a statement.
“Our heroes were able to kill two terrorists, noting that the enemy’s four pickup vehicles came from deep inside the Iraqi desert,” he said.
“The attack left one dead and another wounded from the 17th Brigade, while the terrorist’s pickup vehicles fled deep into the desert,” the commander said.
Earlier, the Popular Mobilization announced in a statement that a force from the 17th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization on Monday had confronted the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS west of Anbar.
