HADRAMOUT, April 13 (YPA) – Activists in the city of Mukalla of Hadramout province, “eastern Yemen”, called for the continuation of popular protests due to the deterioration of all basic services.
Activists confirmed on social media that the protests would continue due to the collapse of the electricity service since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, accusing the province’s authorities of corruption.
The popular protests began in the city at the beginning of Ramadan due to a power outage and the Electricity Administration’s announcement of its inability to provide fuel in Yemen’s largest oil province.
