Coalition violates UN-brokered truce in Yemen 908 times

SANAA, April 09 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition forces have committed the humanitarian and military truce brokered by the United Nations in Yemen with 908 violations for the past 168 hours.

A military source confirmed that the coalition’s breaches amounted to 108 violations, of which 76 warplanes and reconnaissance drones flying over the sky of the provinces of Hajjah and Jawf, Saada, Bayda, and beyond of the borders, as well as 3 airstrikes of coalition aircraft on Al-Barah area in Taiz.

The source announced 2 citizens were killed and 3 others wounded as a result of Saudi artillery shelling on Razih district of Saada.

The coalition forces also had created several combat fortifications in al-Akd area in Marib, and had infiltrated towards the Sanaa forces’ sites in al-Silw district of Taiz.

The source pointed out that 8 missile and artillery attacks by the coalition forces were monitored, as the coalition targeted the sites of the Sanaa forces’ sites with a guided missile in Al-Akd area in Marib and artillery shelling targeted the homes of citizens in the village of Sarwah, and areas of Mala’a, Al-Balaq Al-Sharqi in Marib, as well as other sites in Najran and Jizan.

Additionally, 21 violations were recorded by shooting at the homes of citizens and the sites of the Sanaa forces in the provinces of Marib, Jawf, Saada, Taiz and Dhalea.

The coalition forces have been committed 800 breaches in all Yemeni provinces since a humanitarian and military two-month truce came into effect on April 2, 2022.
