JMPs welcome President Al-Mashat’s initiative to suspend military operations

SANAA, March 27 (YPA) – The Joint Meeting Parties (JMPs) on Sunday welcomed the initiative of President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, to suspend military operations in all its forms for three days.

In a statement they issued today, the JMPs called on the Saudi-led coalition to deal positively with the initiative and to seize the real peace opportunity before it is too late.

The statement pointed out that this initiative comes in the context of many initiatives launched by Sanaa and rejected by the coalition countries.

The JMPs indicated that peace requires an immediate cessation of aggression, lifting the siege, releasing oil derivatives ships, withdrawing all foreign forces present on Yemeni lands, islands and waters, and non-interference in Yemeni affairs.
