FM confirms Sanaa’s commitment to implementing Stockholm Agreement

SANAA, March 19 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa, Hisham Sharaf, reiterated on Saturday that the Government of National Salvation’s commitment to implementing the UN-sponsored Stockholm Agreement.

The minster affirmed that the Saudi-led coalition and its loyalists have placed multiple obstacles, which confirms their lack of seriousness in moving towards peace, despite media claims by Riyadh and Abu Dhabi about their approach to peace and ending the suffering of Yemenis.

This came during his meeting with the head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeida Agreement “UNMHA” and the head of the Redeployment Coordination Committee, Major General Michael Beary.

Sharaf reviewed the daily violations practiced by the US-backed Saudi-Emirati coalition in preventing the entry of ships of oil derivatives and cooking gas to the port of Hodeida serving the goals of the coalition’s countries in starvation, which aim to bring the Yemeni people under control.

The minister stressed that true peace should not to link the political and military files with the economic and humanitarian situation.
He touched on the latest developments in the political movements related to efforts to bring peace in Yemen.

For his part, Michael Beary referred to the mission’s efforts in implementing the requirements of the Stockholm Agreement.
