BAGHDAD, March 18 (YPA) – The Iraqi army on Thursday evening said that four rockets had been shot down in the vicinity of Balad airbase in Saladin province that hosts US forces .
The commander of Balad Air Base, Major General Diaa Mohsen Saad confirmed that that no damage was caused by the missile strikes.
Saad added that the “four missiles fell in open places,” stressing that no damage was caused.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the four rockets were fired from the village of Zanboor in the southwest of Al-Khalis city against Balad airbase in the south of Saladin.
