STC halts oil production in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, March 17 (YPA) – A leadership of “Hadrami Uprising” affiliated to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council militia suspended the work of oil production of the “Calvalley Petroleum Inc in Hadramout province.

According to local sources, stopping the production of the Calvalley oil company considered as an escalating step against the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government’s dose of oil derivatives.

The sources indicated that the escalatory step taken by the STC came after its supporters besieged the oil sector of PetroMasila, to expel Saudi-funded slah militants from Wadi Hadramout.

In January, Calvalley Oil Company suspended all of its operations in Sector 9 in the Al-Khashaa area of the province.

“Hadrami Uprising” called for organizing two protest rallies next Saturday in Mukalla and Seiyun to protest against the Hadi government’s dose of oil derivatives.
