Official in Islah party survives assassination attempt in Marib

MARIB, March 01 (YPA) – An official in Saudi-led coalition backed government has escaped an assassination attempt in the center of Marib province.

According to human rights sources familiar with issue, an improvised explosive device exploded and targeted the so-called ” Sanaa governor “, appointed by Saudi-led coalition, Ahmed Abad  in front of his way to home in Marib city.

 The sources accused the cells of “Ammar Afash” of trying to carry out the assassinations in Marib, and their  association with the so-called chief of staff Saghir bin Aziz loyal to the UAE.

 They considered that the assassination cells target a number of leaders.

The sources pointed out that the leaders of the Islah party became under the monitoring of the cells “Afash” either in Marib or in Taiz province, which witnessed the assassinations against a number of Islah cadres and leaders .
