President Al-Mashat urges Zakat Authority to pay attention to economic empowerment projects

SANAA. March 01 (YPA) -The President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Tuesday urged the Zakat Authority to pay attention to economic empowerment projects that contribute to creating job opportunities for poor people to rely on themselves.

This came during his meeting with the Chairman of the General Authority for Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nastan.

In the meeting, President Al-Mashat stressed the importance of completing the data update project for the poor and needy in all provinces of the country to establish an accurate database to ensure the delivery of zakat to those who deserve it.

The meeting discussed the projects implemented by the Zakat Authority in the capital Sanaa and the provinces, its plan for the year 2022 and the projects it contains.
