Mahra authorities reject invitation to recruit militia for coalition

MAHRA, March. 01 (YPA) – The leadership of the local authority loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Mahra province has rejected calls to recruit militias in the province.

The “security committee” headed by the governor of the “Hadi government” called on the sheikhs and notables of the province to maintain security and stability, in the first response to the announcement of Saudi-funded “Inclusive Council of Mahra’s people” opening the door for the recruitment in the so-called “Mahra Defense Forces”.

The committee stressed the need to distance the province from problems and deal firmly with anyone who might undermine security and stability and disturb public tranquility.
