Yemeni air defenses shoot down US-made ScanEagle drone over Hajjah province

MARIB, Feb. 28 YPA) –The Yemeni air defenses have shot down a spy drone belonging to Saudi-led coalition in Hajjah province, northwestern Yemen, the army spokesman said in a statement.

The Army spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, affirmed the air defenses were be able to down a US-made “ScanEagle” spy drone, operating by the Saudi Air Forces, while it was carrying out hostile actions over the airspace of Hardh district on Monday morning .

The drone was down with a suitable weapon, he added.

On Friday, the Yemeni air defences shot down two spy reconnaissance planes belongings to Saudi-led coalition forces in Marib and Jawf provinces.
