ISIS terrorist attack thwarted in Kaluga, Russia

KALUGA, Feb. 27 (YPA) – The Russian Federal Security Service thwarted on Sunday a terrorist attack, which was being prepared under the direction of the terrorist organization “ISIS”, in the Kaluga region in Russia.

According to the Security Service statement, “the Russian Federal Security Service thwarted a terrorist attack on one of the facilities and against law enforcement officers in the Kaluga region.”

A citizen of one of the Central Asian countries was arrested, who received training by the militants of the international terrorist organization (ISIS), which is banned in Russia.”

On Wednesday, the Russian Federal Security Service thwarted a similar attack on an Orthodox church in Crimea and arrested six people.
