Explosions reported in Lugansk

SANAA, Feb. 24 (YPA) –  Loud explosions were heard in downtown Lugansk, a Novosti correspondent reported.

The Joint Ceasefire Monitoring and Coordination Centre in south-eastern Ukraine reported shortly before that that at 4.30 a.m., the Ukrainian armed forces fired 120 “122mm”  artillery guns at the village of Sokhodol.

In recent weeks, the situation in Donbass has escalated: Kiev has deployed most of the army on the line of contact and regularly fired at popular forces using banned equipment.

Because of the threat of Ukrainian invasion, the Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk began evacuating women, children and the elderly to Russian areas and declaring general mobilization.
