HAHRA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – The local authority in Mahra, “eastern Yemen,” arrested on Thursday three of the companions of a pro-Emirati leader in the province.
According to sources, director of Mahra security of the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government,” Mufti Samouda, directed the arrest of companions of the leader Abdullah Issa bin Afrar, while they were coming to receive the Saudi cash rewards.
Vice-head of the “UAE-backed Transitional Council’s branch n the province, Hassan Balhaf, described the kidnapping of bin Afrar’s companions as a systematic campaign targeting opponents of the “Hadi government.”
This came a week after bin Afrar returned to Socotra to implement the Emirati agendas in Socotra island and Mahra.
