Pro-gov’t commander escapes assassination attempt in Abyan

ABYAN, Feb. 17 (YPA) – A leader loyal to the “Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government” was subjected on Thursday to an assassination attempt on Thursday, in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources confirmed that an armed ambush, carried out by unknown gunmen, targeted Director of Control and Financial Supervision at Hadi’s Ministry of Defense, Sami Saleh al-Radfani, in the middle of Sheikh Othman area.

The city of Aden is witnessing a rise in assassinations targeting military and security leaders and clerics, amid accusations of the “Southern Transitional Council militia by the UAE in the city.
