13-year-old boy wounded by coalition cluster bomb in Saada

SAAADA, Feb. 11 (YPA) – A 13-year-old boy by the name of Nasser Shawsh Nasser, was injured on Friday in a blast of a cluster bomb dropped by the Saudi-led coalition on Saada province, northern Yemen.

An official in the the National Mine Action Program said that “the child Nasser was injured by shrapnel from a cluster bomb while grazing sheep in Haydan district, which led to the amputation of one of his fingers.”

He added that the child was also hit with several shrapnel throughout his body.

This comes after three sheep herders were injured in the past two days in Haydan by shrapnel from remnants of coalition cluster bombs.

The National Mine Action Program said that over 3,841 civilians, mostly women and children, have been killed or wounded by the remnants of cluster bombs dropped by coalition warplanes in various areas of Yemen.
