UAE seeks to overthrew Islah authority in Marib, Hadhramaut

MARIB, Feb. 03 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is planing to overthrow defense minister in “Hadi government” and a number of leaders loyal to Islah Party, Yemeni branch of Muslim Brotherhood  in the provinces of  Marib and Hadhramaut, Informed sources revealed  on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the UAE decided to remove the leadership of Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, and replace it with leaders loyal to “Tariq Afash” in Marib and Hadhramaut provinces in the coming days, through appointing Saghir bin Aziz as minister of defense instead of Mohammed al-Maqdashi, who is loyalist to Al-Ahmar.

The sources confirmed that Abu Dhabi is seeking through its military wing Bin Aziz, to create “Al-Amaliqa brigades” in Marib, after ousted the Islah authorities in the oil-rich province of Shabwah at the end of last year.

The sources attributed that the UAE military moves are moving towards turning the page on Islah in Hadhramaut and Marib, in conjunction with the moves led by Tariq Afash to control some western directorates of Taiz province overlooking the west coast, the last strongholds of Islah military there.
