Armed attack targets bus carrying cement factory workers in Abyan

ABYAN, Feb. 03 (YPA) – A number of ‘Al-Wahda’ Cement Factory workers in Abyan province, southern Yemen, were injured in an armed attack targeted a bus carrying them, local sources reported on Thursday.

Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday opened fire of their machine guns at a factory bus in Batais area of ​​Khanfar district, seriously wounding the bus driver and another worker, the sources said.

The sources confirmed that the gunmen fled, without revealing who was behind the attack, which is the second after the kidnapping of a transport bus belonging to the factory on the asphalt road between Zenjbar and Ja’ar areas last July.
