Yemeni people’s steadfastness has foiled aggression plots: President

SANAA, June 15 (YPA) – President of Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat said on Thursday that the Yemeni people’s steadfastness and awareness have foiled bets and plots of the aggression forces.

This came during the president’s speech he delivered on the eve of Eid al-Fitr, congratulating the Yemeni people and Arab and Islamic nations on this occasion.

The President referred that the Yemeni people have been suffering for the fourth year in row as a result of the US-backed Saudi-led coalition aggression, which caused the largest humanitarian disaster.

The president noted to the efforts have been made by the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government to ease the impact of the aggression and siege on the citizens.

He promised to develop financial revenues, combat corruption, apply the law and activate the state authorities for completing the project launched by the martyr president Saleh al-Sammad.

In his speech, the president pointed to the great victories of the Yemeni army and popular committees in the different fronts, especially in the western coast and Jawf province.

“Those victories have confused the enemy forces and their mercenaries aborted their schemes,” he said.

He called for raising the national awareness in the face of the US-Saudi aggression plot against the homeland and its unity, stressing the importance of fortifying the internal front.

The president pointed to the danger of the recent escalation of the US regime and Zionist entity against the Islamic sanctities in the occupied Palestine, which requires a serious action to confront those conspiracies.
