Sweden’s diplomat at UN calls for halting coalition attack on Hodeidah
SANAA, June 15 (YPA) – United Nations Swedish Deputy Ambassador Carl Skau on Thursday called on the United Nations Security Council to help halt a US-backed Saudi-led coalition assault on Yemen’s main port city, Hodeidah, in a statement on his Twitter account.
Skau stressed on the need to give UN special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths more chance to pave the way for a peace process between the rival warring parties.
“Time is running out,” Skau said.
“We are at a crossroad, we need to resolve the conflict in Yemen,” he said.
