Ukrainian army trains to use anti-tank missiles

SANAA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – Ukrainian soldiers conducted the first shooting exercises using light anti-tank missiles provided by the UK to Kiev, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence news agency reported on Friday.

On January 17, British Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace said his country would hand over a number of these weapons to Ukraine and provide personnel to train Ukrainian soldiers on how to deal with them.

The systems were handed over to Kiev by the RAF from 17 to 18 January, accompanied by a training team of 10-20 soldiers.

According to state media, anti-tank missile system trainers conducted the final phase of their training at the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the National Army Academy.
