KUWAIT, Jan. 29 (YPA) – Kuwait Airways announced at dawn on Saturday the temporary suspension of its flights to Iraq, given the current security conditions.
The Kuwaiti national carrier said, in a statement posted on its Twitter account: “We would like to report that flights to the Republic of Iraq have been temporarily suspended, in accordance with the instructions issued by the General Aviation Administration Kuwaiti civilian”.
At dawn on Saturday, terrorist gangs targeted Baghdad International Airport with six Katyusha rockets in an attempt to target the country’s capabilities, which landed on the waiting spot of Iraqi Airways aircraft, damaging two planes that were parked on the runway.
