Person killed, another injured in clashes between pro-coalition factions in Taiz
TAIZ, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Violent clashes erupted on Thursday in Turbah city of Taiz province, southwest Yemen, against the backdrop of the attack on the guarding of the governor loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
Local sources said that the clashes broke out when the so-called “Military Police” elements opened fire on the guards of the governor of Hadi’s government in Taiz, Nabil Shamsan.
The clashes led to the killing of one of the Islah Party militants and the injury of another before the Islah militia caught Shamsan’s guards and took them to an unknown destination.
