North Korea considers restarting nuclear, missile tests

SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – North Korea will strengthen its defenses against the United States and consider restarting  all temporally-suspended activities, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Thursday.

According to Reuters,  North Korea appears to be waving a moratorium on testing its nuclear bombs and long-range missiles.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un held a meeting with the ruling Workers’ Party’s political bureau on Wednesday discussed  “important political issues” including countermeasures against “hostile” US  policy.

Washington’s policy and military threats “have reached a serious level,” referring to joint US-South Korean military exercises and the deployment of sophisticated US strategic weapons in the region, as well as independent sanctions and UN sanctions, according to the agency .
