HADRAMOUT, Jan. 17 (YPA) – A security leader was killed on Monday in Hadramout province, east of Yemen, according to local sources.

The sources affirmed that Ibrahim Haidan, a companion of the leader and of the Minister of Interior in the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government, was killed in an armed ambush and others were wounded.

Some sources stated that unknown gunmen believed to belong to the UAE-funded “Southern Transitional Council’s militia opened fire on Haidan’s car in the city of Seiyun.

This comes after the tribes loyal to the UAE announced the recruitment of 25,000 people from Wadi Hadramout, and the expulsion of the forces of the “First Military Region” of the leader Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
