SANAA, Jan. 15 (YPA) – Russian troops from the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) peacekeeping forces have left Kazakhstan, the Russian Defense Ministry said Saturday.
The ministry said in a statement that the forces carried their equipment on board military transport aircraft il-76 and en-24 and set off from Alma-Ata airport (to the permanent deployment point).”
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced the departure of the first batch of its forces.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced On Wednesday (January 12th) that Russian “peacekeeping” forces, would begin withdrawing from Kazakhstan from Thursday.
