Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Maqaleh Named the Arab Cultural Personality for 2021

 MUSCAT, Jan. 13 (YPA) – The Yemeni poet Dr. Abdulaziz Al Maqaleh, has been selected as the Arab Cultural Personality of 2021 at a ceremony held in the Omani capital, Muscat.

The Omani Cultural Club held a ceremony honoring Al Maqaleh, under the auspices of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Oman, Saeed bin Sultan al-Busaidi.

 The ceremony included critic readings in poetry and literary products, in which a number of Arab academics, critics and poets participated. Poets also addressed readings from the poet Abdulaziz al-Maqaleh during his literary career.

 In conclusion, the sponsor of the event honored the poet, who was received on his behalf by Dr. Mohammed Abdessalam Mansour.

 A number of Arab intellectuals, writers and poets participated in the ceremony. Al-Maqaleh was awarded the Lotus Award in 1986, and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in Aden in 1980.
