UAE-backed commander escapes assassination attempt in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 11 (YPA) – A UAE-backed military commander escaped on Tuesday an assassination attempt in Ataq city, capital of Shabwa province, local sources said.

The sources indicated that gunmen in the electricity point, opened fire at the commander of so-called 7th brigade, Majed Lamroq al-Nussi who loyal to Shabwania elite militias, while entering Ataq city coming from Markha district.

The sources affirmed that al-Shabwania elements arrested a number of militants who loyal to the special forces of Islah party in Shabwa.
