Huge explosion hits Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 06 (YPA) – Local sources in the city of Ataq of Shabwa province said that a huge explosion was heard shook all the city’s neighborhoods.

The sources affirmed that there was available information about the cause of the explosion, which coincided with news of the arrival of new forces from the so-called “al-Amaliqa” brigade, backed by the UAE, to the city.

This is the second explosion that the city is witnessing in less than two weeks, after an explosion hit at Ataq Airport on the 28th of last December, and flames were seen rising from the airport, which units of the so-called UAE-funded Southern Brigades of Amaliqa (Giants) had taken as headquarters, amid congestion with Saudi-backed Hadi’s forces control the city.
