4 Malian soldiers killed in attack near Mauritania border

SANAA, Dec. 30 (YPA) – At least four Malian soldiers were killed in an armed attack in Nara area, near Mauritania’s Malian border.

The Malian army announced that four of its soldiers had been killed in an attack with improvised explosive devices and heavy weapons, in addition to injuring 10 others.

For days, the Malian army has been conducting a military and a search operation for militants in the Nara area.

The village of Nara is located 37 km south of the Mauritanian border and 292 km north-northeast of the Malian capital, Bamako.
