Yemen army foils Saudi-backed militias’ infiltration in Najran

NAJRAN, June 13 (YPA) – The Yemeni Army on Wednesday foiled an infiltration attempt of Saudi-backed militias in Najran province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The militias tried to advance towards Adyaq Mountain off Khadra crossing border, but were repulsed by the army, killing and injuring dozens of them, the official confirmed.

The official indicated that the army forces were able to set an airtight ambush targeted the militias in Adyaq mountain, leaving massive losses in their ranks,

Meanwhile, the Yemeni artillery forces bombed gatherings of Saudi-backed militias at Tabat al-Ramlyah and several others sites in Khadra crossing border, causing human and material causalities.

The infiltration coincided with several air strikes of coalition warplanes and Apaches to back its militias but without making any field progress on the ground .
