17 killed after ship sinks off Madagascar coast

ANTANANARIVO, Dec. 21 (YPA) – A cargo ship with 130 passengers on board sank off Madagascar’s northeastern coast on Monday, killing at least 17 people, Xinhua Reported.

At least 45 people were rescued, according to a report from the Maritime and River Port Agency.

According to the agency, a hole in the ship’s hull was believed to have caused it to sink.
