US Expert: Russia seeks peace, US arms supply to Ukraine must be stopped

SANAA, Dec. 18 (YPA) – Joe Lombardo, Co-Coordinator of the United National Antiwar Coalition said he ruled out that the draft mutual guarantees of security in Europe, proposed by Russia, from deterring the United States side from continuing its aggression.

“I think Russia’s proposal is very important.” It shows who is really seeking peace, but it will not stop the United States and NATO of their aggressive actions against Russia and other countries, ” he told Novosti News Agency

Lombardo noted that last week, his organization called for a halt to the supply of U.S. weapons to Ukraine and the dispatch of military advisers there.

The organization stressed that the stationing of Russian troops near the Ukraine border was defensive, despite attempts by the “United States Government and its media” to present it as preparation for the invasion.

“I don’t think this Russian initiative will ease tensions,” Lombardo said. This tension is necessary to support the US military industrial complex, which is an important part of the US economy.”

“But the majority of citizens in the United States will never hear about this proposal, because it has been ignored by the media under the control of large corporations,” he said.
