UK Queen Elizabeth receives Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle
LONDON, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The United Kingdom’s Queen, Elizabeth II, received at Windsor Palace in Berkshire, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, and his wife, Ahed bint Abdullah Al Busaidi, on Wednesday.
The official Oman News Agency stated that Queen Elizabeth and the Sultan of Oman reviewed the historical relations between the two countries and aspects of close cooperation in all fields.
The visit of the Sultan of Oman to Britain, which began on Tuesday, is the third foreign visit after Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and the first to Britain since he took the throne in January 2020.
The Sultan of Oman’s first foreign visit was to Saudi Arabia last July, and his second foreign visit was to Qatar last month.
The Omani agency added that “Bin Tariq” will discuss with the British side the current issues of interest to both sides on the international and regional arenas.
