Kordahi in fiery statement: “My political career begins now”

BEIRUT, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The former Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, confirmed that he “does not regret anything”, after his resignation against the backdrop of the Lebanese-Gulf crisis following his statements about the Yemen war.

In an interview with the “Euronews” network, George Kordahi considered that some “imagined that they could harass him in political life,” noting that “what he said about the war in Yemen does not deserve this fuss, and that he made his statements in good faith.”

He indicated that “the commotion was prepared before in black rooms,” and that he was personally surprised by the strength of the reaction to it, noting that “what he said was a pretext for something else.”

Kordahi did not rule out his candidacy for the parliamentary elections, hinting that what happened somehow pushed him to enter politics, as he stated that his political career never ended, “but started now.”
