Islah Party recruits cut off main road in Lahj

LAHJ, Dec. 12 (YPA) – Members of the so-called “4th Mountain Infantry Brigade”, affiliated with Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition, blocked the road in Al-Ma’amiya area in Tor Al-Baha district of Lahj province, southern Yemen, local sources reported on Sunday.

The sources explained that the brigade’s members prevented a number of trucks, locomotives and cars from passing through the road.

According to the sources, the brigade’s members informed the truck drivers that they would not allow them to cross, until their salaries are paid and their names are registered officially within lists of the “Ministry of Defense of the Hadi government.”

It is noteworthy that the members of the “4th Infantry Brigade” impose exorbitant royalty on truck and locomotive drivers, amounting to more than 50,000 Yemeni riyals for each truck loaded with goods and fuel, without legal justification.
