Bakeries rise price of ‘Roti bread’ to 75 Yemeni riyals in Aden

ADEN, Dec. 04 (YPA) – Bakeries Association in Aden said that the price of the roti bread has been raised from 50 riyals to 75 riyals.

The association decided in a statement to raise the price of the roti bread from 50 riyals to 75 riyals in order to maintain its quality and nutritional value.

“We will have to close bakeries because of the high prices and the bakeries are unable to keep up with the rapid price increases of flour, diesel and rents to another,” the statement  added.

It stated that the decision was made so that bakeries could continue and avoid losses and bankruptcy and continue to perform the appropriate service for the citizen .

The association pointed out that it is committed in any solutions found by the local authorities to stabilize the pricing of materials in the bakeries  and return it to its previous price .
