Post-Hadi arrangements capture coalition moves

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – US Special Envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking held a meeting on  Thursday with the head of the UAE-backed  Southern Transitional Council (STC),  Eidros Zubeidi, in Riyadh.

Observers believe that the meeting between the two sides is a part of arrangements to exclude Hadi’s government from Yemen’s political scene in preparation for a new phase.

Moreover, they believe that successive visits by UN envoy Hans Grundberg and US envoy Lenderking to Aden last week confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that coalition forces are rearranging their ranks in Yemen, ensuring that the coalition maintains some paperwork to maneuver the Sanaa government.

From the point of view of observers,  the national Salvation government forces appear to be approaching control of Marib. The coalition has been prompted to reschedule its calculations, particularly in light of advice from US political experts to the Biden administration, led by former Assistant Secretary of State David Schenker, that Washington should take measures to ease the coalition’s defeat with the loss of Marib.

Political analysts say the United States can no longer bet on  the coalition’s collapse, and that Washington should embark on new exercises, hoping to try to avoid a coalition break in Yemen, as  it happened in Afghanistan.

This, in turn, was reflected in the desire of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi to get rid of the Hadi government and push the STC to the forefront, with the aim of imposing on the Yemeni map under duress.

Saudi Arabia’s official invitation to Visit Riyadh and meeting  with the US envoy reveals that the coalition has begun digging the tomb of Hadi’s government and this will not be long before she is pronounced dead. This calls on the forces that  bet on the alliance in Yemen, not to bet on the positions of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, which show no interest in sticking to them.
