SHABWA, June 12 (YPA) – The commander of the military police was killed and his son injured in armed ambush on Monday evening in Shabwa province, east of Yemen, a local official told Yemen Press Agency on Tuesday.
The armed ambush, which killed Mohammed al-Qahili, was carried out by Jahush tribe in Markha district of Shabwa.
The official pointed out that the killing of Qahili was the result of tribal revenge and was not a terrorist operation.
