Southern Yemeni leaders vow to confront US troops in South

SANAA, June 12 (YPA) – Southern Yemeni leaders said on Monday that they will take practical actions to confront US forces entered the southern provinces under the pretext of combating terrorism.

This move came after new batches of US forces with their military equipment arrived in some Yemeni regions, in light of the silence of the international community and the United Nations, which is sponsoring Yemeni political negotiations in Kuwait.

Yemeni politicians considered Saudi Arabia’s recall of foreign troops to Yemen an affirmation of its lack of seriousness in seeking for the success of the negotiations.

The intervention of the US, UAE and other invading forces in Yemeni soil has been condemned and rejected by Yemenis, who see it as an extension of the US-Israeli project in the region.
