Upcoming summit between ‘Biden and Chinese president’ revealed

SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – A US newspaper has revealed  preparations for a “virtual ” summit between President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Politico, citing sources saying that the summit, the first of its kind between the two presidents since Biden took office in January, will be held next Monday, January 15.

The White House has not yet issued any official statement on the issue.

The announcement of the summit between Biden and the Chinese president comes hours after the unveiling of an agreement between the United States and China to increase cooperation to address the effects of climate change, including reducing methane emissions, phasing out coal consumption and protecting forests.

The framework agreement was announced by the US climate envoy and his Chinese counterpart, at the United Nations Climate Conference in Glasgow, which the two saw as a way to push the summit towards success.
