US says it is ready to support Ukraine against “Russian” attacks

SANAA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – Washington has said it is ready to support Ukraine against what it describes as “malicious” Russian activities, including through sanctions, while expressing concern about Russian military activities near the Ukrainian border.

On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba have signed a strategic partnership charter to support Ukraine’s efforts to counter armed aggression and “malicious” cyber activity by Russia, including by maintaining sanctions.

The charter goes into detail on Ukraine’s energy security, saying that the United States intends to support Ukraine’s efforts to become energy independent, decarbonize its economy, and deregulate its energy sector among other goals.

Blinken said the administration of US President Joe Biden will continue to work with U.S. lawmakers to provide more security assistance to Ukraine, including deadly defense weapons.
