SANAA, Nov. 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology on Tuesday expected clear, cold weather on mountainous heights during night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb, Lahj, Dhalea, Marib, Jawf during the next 24 hours.
The center indicated in its weather bulletin Tuesday that the weather will be relatively cold on parts of the internal plateaus, in addition to falling of light to moderate rain on separate areas of the northwestern highlands during the afternoon and evening periods.
The center stated that the weather in the coastal areas will be clear to partly cloudy in general, and convective rainy clouds are likely to form on separate areas of the western coast and the interior highlands.
The weather in the desert areas is clear and relatively cold during the night and early morning, and the winds are northeasterly to easterly, light to moderate in speed, brisk at times.
The Center alerted the citizens, especially the elderly, the sick, children, school students and workers, farmers during the night and early morning, of the drop in minimum temperatures in the mountainous heights.
It also warned sea-goers and fishermen south of the western coast and Bab al-Mandab of turbulence in the sea, with a wave height of 3.0 meters.
