Industry Minister stresses importance of academic institutions’ role in developing national economy

SANAA, Nov. 06 (YPA) – Minister of Industry and Trade Abdul Wahab Al-Durra stressed the importance of universities and academic institutions playing their role in developing and supporting the national economy in the country.

This came during a meeting held on Saturday in Sanaa to discuss arrangements for the International Scientific Conference on Modern Trends in the Information and Communications Industry, organized by Al-Razi University in cooperation with the Communications and Information Technology Syndicate.

“Development and solving the various issues and challenges facing the country came in light of the aggression and siege and within the framework of the directions of the National Salvation Government,” he said.

Al-Durra affirmed his ministry’s readiness to develop cooperation with the public and private universities, their scientific and academic programs and activities, which would integrate various parties to establish strong scientific foundations for plans for advancement and development in accordance with the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.
