Sanaa forces take control over Umm Rish military camp in Marib

MARIB, Nov. 06 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees (Sanaa forces)  were able to take control over the Umm Rish military camp in Marib province during an operation, military sources said on Friday.

According to the sources, the Umm Rish camp is the headquarters of the 117th Infantry Brigade forces affiliated to Hadi government and Islah party.  It is their last base in the south of Marib province.

The sources added that the coalition forces launched a new attack in a bid to restore the camp, but they failed.

Umm al-Rish camp is one of the most important defensive lines of Marib city and separates it from its center a few kilometers, and its fall would end the city’s defensive garrison from the south.
