KHARTOUM, Nov. 02 (YPA)Sudan’s ousted prime minister, Abdullah Hamdok, has said he will not be a party to any arrangements in accordance with the procedures of the army
In a statement on Facebook, the Sudanese Ministry of Culture and Information said that Abdulla Hamdouk met the ambassadors of the Troika countries (the United States, the United Kingdom, and Norway) accredited to Sudan, and during the meeting he described the decisions taken by the army chief, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, as a “coup as a correct description.”
Hamdok said, according to the statement, that he “will not be a party to any arrangements” in accordance with the army’s procedures issued on October 25. He stressed the “legitimacy of his government and the transitional institutions,” considering that “releasing the ministers and carrying out the work of the Council of Ministers with all its members is an approach to resolving the crisis.”
According to a statement issued by the government spokesman, the ambassadors informed Hamdok that the US special envoy for the Horn of Africa, Jeffrey Feltman, will arrive in Khartoum at dawn on Tuesday, to continue efforts to defuse the crisis.
