Lebanese gov’t calls on Saudi Arabia to engage in dialogue

SANAA, Nov. 01 (YPA) – The Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib called on Saudi Arabia to engage in dialogue to resolve the current crisis between the two countries.

The minister told AFP, “Disputes among between friendly and brotherly countries can only be resolved through dialogue, communication and trust, but without the will to impose on Lebanon.

He affirmed Lebanon’s keenness to “address the issue through dialogue with a country.

Bou Habib expressed his conviction that “any US-Iranian understanding and any Saudi-Iranian agreement would help resolving this issue, adding that, “We want the best relations with Saudi Arabia in cooperate with us to find solutions.

This came against the backdrop of statements by the Minister of Information about the war on Yemen that angered Riyadh.
