Pakistan’s Prime Minister arrives in Saudi Arabia for official visit

RIYADH, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday reached Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit to attend the launch ceremony of the ‘Middle East Green Initiative (MGI) Summit’ being held in Riyadh, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The PMO said in a tweet that PM Imran was received by Prince Saud bin Khalid Al Faisal, deputy governor of Madinah, upon reaching the city and was “given a warm reception”

Earlier Saturday, Saudi Arabia announced the launch of the first package of qualitative initiatives for the green economy with investments of 700 billion riyals ($186.63 billion).

In May, Imran Khan visited Riyadh and discussed bilateral relations and issues of common concern with the Crown Prince.

During Imran Khan’s recent visit to Riyadh, the two sides signed an agreement to establish the Saudi-Pakistani Supreme Coordination Council and signed two agreements and two memorandums of understanding.
